Using Search to Mitigate/Reduce Business Risks

By Amy Nutt

Talk to most people and ask why they engage in search engine marketing and they'll answer "because it gets results". There's no question; search is a very important part of the marketing mix.

That said, many people and businesses do not necessarily understand all the inherent benefits of search. Consider for example, the ability of search to mitigate or reduce certain types of business risks. Accordingly, the remainder of this post will assess the numerous ways that search can help mitigate or reduce business risks. In particular:

1. Marketing Channel Diversification: the more marketing channels bringing in positive ROI (return on investment) to a company, the better. If a company relies too heavily or just one or a few channels, that really is not a solid foundation for a successful business model (consider Porter's Model below). The company's bargaining power is ultimately reduced.

2. Economic Risk Diversification Often, economic conditions in one country or region are not the same as in other countries or regions. For companies marketing their wares/services in but one country/region, all their proverbial eggs are in one basket so to speak. Consider the possible fate of a company marketing its services only in a small mining town dominated by one employer, when the employer pulls the plug on the mine. Instead, the company could have anticipated this probability, and started promoting its services via search in other surrounding towns in advance of the closure.

3. Regulatory and Compliance Risk Diversification Sometimes, political decisions can have catastrophic impacts on companies eg. the U.S.'s embargo against Cuban products. If you were a Cuban cigar distributor at the time of the introduction of the Helms-Burton Act, and the U.S. was your only market you would have been in financial trouble. But now imagine, if you were already marketing Cuban cigars in 50 other countries around the world, which search makes infinitely easier. The impact would have been dramatically reduced.

4. Reputation Management Risks Occasionally, negative press surfaces about companies, and while sometimes merited, other times its completely unjustified. Often, this type of press or negative mentions appear for your business name in the search results. When this occurs, or often even in advance of this possibility occurring, search can be used to reduce the probability that these results will ever be seen.

5. Staffing Issue Risks In industries requiring specialized knowledge, it can be difficult to attract resumes from qualified individuals using standard approaches. All to often, you're drawing from a very limited pool of individuals, or from expensive headhunters. Obviously both methods dramatically increase the cost of hiring and paying qualified individuals. More and more however, attracting strong candidates occurs online, and search can play a big role. It can also help to keep the employment prospect funnel full at all times.

In order to determine if search can help you mitigate business risks, this Toronto SEO would encourage most business to do an introspective analysis of such risks, identify what your risks are, the probability of each occurring, and then devise (simple) solutions to mitigate those risks both with and without search.

Human Respiratory Organs

By Don Bethune

Human being have lungs for respiration. So respiration in human beings is know as pulmonary respiration.Respiratory organs are well developed in human being. The respiratory system consists of repiratory tract and respiratory organs. The repiratory tract is passage along whcih air travels from the atmosphere in order to reach lungs.

The Nasal Cavity. The Nasal Cavity is situated above the mouth, and accesses the external atmosphere through the nostrils, and internally it accessed the pharynx with the internal nostrils. The nasal cavity helps filter out dust particles from the outside environment with the cilia and with mucus.

The Pharynx. After entering through the nasal cavity, air next goes to the pharynx. There, the pharynx opens into the larynx or voice box through the glottis. The pharynx is actually shared by the respiratory system with the digestive tract. Luckily, the glottis is usually covered by the cartilage epiglottis when we swallow food, so we donat choke.

The Larynx: This is a cartilagious, box-like structure that is situated at the tracheal opening. The larynx will move up or down when we swallow to allow the passage of air or food, safely. It also is responsible for human speech, as it contains two vocal chords that vibrate to produce sound.

The Trachea. After the larynx, thereas the trachea, which is a tube leading to the bronchi. This tube is eleven centimeters in length and twenty five in diameter. The trachea has an incomplete C-shape cartiligious ring within its wall, which prevents it from collapsing so we can keep breathing.

The Bronchi and Bronchioles. The next stop for air is the two primary bronchi that split off from the trachea. These serve the function of carrying the air into the next organ, the lungs. The right bronchus divides into three bronchi, each extending respectively into the three lobes of the right lung. On the other side, the left bronchi divides into two bronchi that extend into the two lobes of the left lung.

Lungs:- There are two lungs in the thoracic cavity. The thoracic cavaty is bounded by vertebral coloumn arrives sternum and diaphragm. The lungs are highly elastic hollow dark coloured spongi bag like structure. The lungs rest on a sheet of muscle called the diaphragm which forms the floor of the thoracic.

As mentioned before, the right lung is separated into three lobes, whereas the left long is only separated into two lobes. The lungs are also surrounded by a narrowly shaped pleural cavity, which is in turn surrounded by two membranes. These membranes secrete an oily substance called pleural fluid, which fills the Pleural cavity.

Submitting Your Website to Search Engines

By Craig Lerner

If you have a web-based business or if a significant portion of your business is done on the web through your website, then the best advertising and marketing is done by submitting to a search engine. No amount of press release, newspaper or radio ad, banner ad, spam email or newsletter will achieve the same results, although, maybe effective in a small proportion.

Beware of companies that promise automatic submission of your website to hundreds of search engines which are but only false promises. The best way to submit your website for search engine ranking and inclusion is to do it yourself or to hire an expert to do it manually, by contacting the search engine companies and directories.

Before you begin to submit your website to search engines ensure your websites are thoroughly designed to the professional quality using the right key words, good graphics and pictures and the relevant content. Don't submit websites that are incomplete. While submitting to a search engine, make sure to provide information about your website, keywords and any other information that may be pertinent, including the name and contact information of your business.

Mere submission to search engine companies does not guarantee that your site would be immediately listed and the ranking will be high. Because there are thousands of new websites coming up every day and it may take quite sometime before they take up your site for review by human editors. One important factor to remember while submitting site is to include a site map of your website which makes the crawling easy for the web robots. Search engines like 'http://www.google.com' hardly considers submissions without sitemaps.

Or if you want professional help try the following sites:

Don't use the automatic submission services.

Most Popular Sizes of Banner Stands

By Amy Nutt

When you attend a trade show, you may notice that your eye is drawn to the booths that have banner stands. That's because banner stands provide an extremely noticeable visual display that attracts passersby. Banner stands are a great enhancement to any trade show display and provide a high-end, professional impact for a reasonable price. If you're unsure as to which style and size is best, look for a company that offers table top display rentals.

There are several different types of banner stands on the market today, but there are a few types and sizes that stand out in popularity. What are the most popular banner stand types? Why do certain sizes of banner stands have more of an edge?

Sizes of Table-Top Banner Stands Considered an entry-level banner stand, table top banner stands provide the impact of a banner at a reasonable price. They come in a variety of formats, and they offer a great way to add visual appeal to your table-top display.

Popular sizes of table-top banner stands include 24 inches high, 18 inches high, and 42 inches high. Choosing the right height for a table-top banner stand depends on several factors, such as price and portability.

However, the most important thing to consider when choosing the size of your table-top banner stand is how the size will fit with the rest of your display. You don't want the banner stand overwhelming the rest of your materials.

Sizes of Roll-Up Banner Stands Roll-Up banner stands provide the ultimate in banner stand portability. The banner rolls up or down on the stand and offers very easy setup. To set up the banner, you simply roll it out and connect it to the other end of the stand.

Some of the most popular sizes of roll-up banner stands include 78 inches high and 84 inches high. These sizes are large enough to get noticed and are easy to read from a distance, both important features for a trade show display.

It's hard to miss life-size banners at a trade show. Even though they cost a bit more than table-top versions, they really draw people in.

Choosing the right size of roll-up banner stand is really a matter of budget. In general, the large the stand, the more you have to pay. However, it's also important to consider the visual impact of these larger stands.

Sizes of Tension Pole Banner Stands The main advantage of tension pole banner stands is that minimal hardware is seen on the front of the banner, allowing the main focus to be on the graphic. Surprisingly, this option is less expensive than many other banner stands and is a more practical alternative for some companies.

A disadvantage of these type of banner stands is that the banner must be unrolled manually, causing the system to have a shorter life span than some other banner stands.

Popular sizes for tension pole banner stands include 48 inches high, 60 inches high, 72 inches high, and 80 inches high. The height of these banner stands makes them a great and highly affordable option for adding vertical aspects to your trade show exhibits.

Choosing the Right Size of Banner Stand There are several factors to consider when choosing any type of banner stand. The same is true for choosing size. The following factors are important to consider in your selection:

- How often will you be using the banner stand? Do you need it to be extremely durable? - How large is your display? Do you want the banner stand to be the main focus? - What is your budget?

These are just a few questions to keep in mind before you determine what size banner stand will help make your company stand out from the rest.

Do You Make These 4 Common Affiliate Marketing Mistakes ?

By Jeff Marshall

Myths concerning affiliate marketing are appealing and attractive. People who do not know the entire system the wrong way round are prone to believing that it is something capable of giving them great fortune overnight. Stories concerning affiliates who earn tremendous amounts of money swim in their heads, and while these stories are as true as they can be, there are those who believe that they are going to have the same fortune once they indulge in this particular business.

It is true enough that affiliate marketing is financially rewarding. People who have gone through everything to be able to succeed in this business are reaping the seeds that they untiringly sowed. Many of them enjoy the kind of existence that was not possible for them to have had under ordinary circumstances. Having gone through the A-Z of affiliate marketing, however, these people are the ones who know that while such business is lucrative, there is absolutely no easy money in it.

Ignorance of this fact is one of the main reasons why there are people who fail miserably in the internet business. There are those who believe in myths concerning the easy money involved in systems such as affiliate marketing. They do not know that there are those who have wasted time, effort and too many resources in trying to pursue the life of ease that they believe this business will give them. And so they go into affiliate marketing armed with nothing but myths and fantastical notions of wealth swimming in their consciousness, never realizing that they bound to make mistakes that would prove to be their downfall.

What may be the reason why in businesses such as affiliate marketing, many are called but few are chosen? Perhaps the answer lies on the fact that many affiliates make mistakes that result from their ignorance of facts concerning how the entire business runs. Affiliate marketing is not as simple as an affiliate promoting a merchant's wares through his website and getting paid for it. It is also about knowing the market and the customers at hand.

Discovering what the most common mistakes affiliates make can perhaps dispel the gloom about myths surrounding affiliate marketing by correcting some wrong notions about it. It might also be able to make those concerned understand that like any other business, there are dos and donts involved in this one if they want to make each of their steps count. The first common mistake affiliates make is their lack of knowledge concerning principles involved in their business. This refers to the affiliate's knowledge of search engines in particular.

Affiliate marketing involves advertising, and advertising through the internet could not have been better without the existence of search engines. What every affiliate has to do is to make these search engines his best friend through studying search engine optimization closely. This way, he is able to know what to do in connection with building a better website to ultimately use for his business.

The second is that affiliates make the mistake of stuffing their sites with banners that do not provide enough information about the product at hand. The best way to battle this mistake is to provide good content hand-in-hand with such banners. It is important for customers to know and understand the features of a product, and good content will be able to help them realize this goal.

The third is that there are affiliates who make the mistake of promoting only one product. Consequently, customers are not given enough options to choose from. There is also the risk of generating fewer sales as compared to having more options for customers ponder about. It is always better to give them a few better alternatives than to give them only one.

The fourth is that there are affiliates who make the mistake of promoting too many products. As a result, customers are confused and end up beyond making a choice. It is perhaps good to give them only the best choices. This is because it is ultimately up to them to judge which one is the best for them to patronize.

All in all, affiliates that are doomed to fail in this business are those who do not exert enough effort to understand everything involved in the industry that they are in. Knowing their path step by careful step will prove to be beneficial to them, as there is no other way to succeed than to go through any path slowly but surely.
