Skip The IM Market - Dan Kennedy Information Marketing Secret

By Neeraj Varma

Within three years of starting to market Clickbank affiliate products, Dylan Loh has a six-figure per month income. One of the keys to his success is to not focus on selling Internet marketing products.

Rob Toth interviewed Dylan as part of Dan Kennedy's Info Riches course promotion. He interviewed the top information marketers in a series called "Future Of Information Marketing".

Dylan strongly believes that marketing Internet marketing products will become more and more competitive. It's really becoming crowded as people discover that it is possible to make a good income from the Internet.

More people can enter the market and be successful. "The pie is definitely big enough", says Dylan. But "with three or four launches in the same week and sometimes in the same day it's increasingly competitive", says Dylan.

"It's relatively easier in non-Internet-marketing niches", says Dylan. If you look real hard in Clickbank you will find lots and lots of good niche products to promote. Dylan says "my philosophy is that I always get them (new clients) to start off in the other niches then it's easier to enter and get the feel of it". After they have achieved some success they can go back to the Internet marketing niche if they want.

When people think of doing business on the Internet they start looking for information on the subject. They get on some lists and all they ever see is Internet marketing products being promoted. This is because they are being targeted for that niche. They are being sold Internet marketing products over and over again because they aer interested in that field.

But that's where a lot of people get stuck. They might venture out in some other niche for a short time, but they are being pulled back into the Internet marketing niche because that's what they are consuming. "There are so many other niches that no one is paying attention to", says Dylan.

People need to focus on one niche, become successful (or not) THEN move on to another niche. Start off with a non-Internet-marketing niche to get your feet wet. After you become successful in other niches you can go back to the Internet marketing niche and you will find success much easier.

The key is to take action and focus. "Don't over-analyze the situation." It's better to get a little understanding and just get started. Take small steps as you are learning. When you start to find some success, spend more time and money on what is working. Drop what is not working. You'll neve learn if you don't get started. "Don't spend so much time trying to think of all the possible ways to be perfect", says Dylan.
