First step is you have to figure out exactly what it is the person wants in there life or what they are missing. Your product needs to fill that need some way in order to help them be happy. Their happy emotions will lead to obviously return visits to your business.

In order to find the customer and fulfill their needs you have to hit them in their heart and in their mind. Both of them are intertwined to each other and they make a big difference in the length of your relationship with each customer. This can not only lead to more sales, but referrals, success stories, and little customer service issues.

In order to figure your customer out you are going to have to analyze them in many different ways. It begins first by taking stats through quantity to figure our a general pattern for the flow of your market. Then as you do that you can flesh it out so to speak and figure out the qualifying metrics of your business.

First you need to communicate through words and understand where they are coming from. Talking can lead to success in many different ways because it will help you know how to market with copywriting and other materials and it will give you a general surface perspective on what you are doing.

Then you have to physically see what they do and this is where focus groups come in to play. This can help you identify feelings that they have that they wouldn't have expressed otherwise. It can get you closer to figuring out what they are feeling and what pushes them to actually buy instead of just talking about it.

There are a lot of ways that you can find this out, but one of the best ways to find out what they say are through surveys and focus groups. Often the focus groups are easier to get more emotions in. If you want to find out what they actually do and are not holding back then you need to track them somehow or actually create focus groups in the locations where people will interact potentially with your product or service.

These steps will all help you see how they will really act. All of these steps can be hard to accomplish, but if you do it then you will be better for it and find a lot of success. It will make your business more well rounded in the long run.
