Can classified ads be used to increase traffic?

There are many ways to get high quality traffic to your website, some of which are better ways than others. A lot of the time getting good traffic to your website means paying a lot of money through online advertising campaigns or from advert placements via specific websites related to yours. These aren't the only ways to receive good traffic and infact there are ways that are cheaper or even free and a lot more effective!

Targeting the right audience can be a little tricky if you're not using the right methods, if you own a local business you'd probably use radio advertisements or local newspapers ads, unfortunately advertising your online website to the locals isn't going to attract a lot of visitors - down to the fact that you need to target an online audience that have the abilities to use your products and services. This is where classified ads come into the picture, they produce a phenomenal amount of traffic to your website, and what's better is this traffic can turn into customers and you'll be making sales like no tomorrow. Not only is this a cheaper method but its great long-term advertising techniques that really do work.

The good thing about using classified ads as an advertising method is that you're targeting an online audience specifically in the country you want to interest, these people search for keywords on the classified websites and your page comes up, thus giving an edge over your competitors and if the visitors like what they see then there's a possibility already for a long term customer. These visitors only visit your website if they're truly interested in your services; this isn't a PPC method so you won't receive spam visitors that click on your website link then without looking at any of your content log straight off. When having a link to your website on the classifieds website also means an extra back link, which then means you are ranking higher in search engines already.

So you may think that's it, you pay for your listing and you get traffic and sales from it, it doesn't stop right there, even websites who list your websites for a fee will normally have options for a free classified which will again drive traffic to your website with the possibilities of more sales. Although it's not as visible and featured as other paid classified ads, it's still a good method to take and it's definitely one that should be taken advantaged of. Make sure you include the best possible information for your website and services and you'll have more traffic and sales in no time.

The most informative classified ads are proven to get viewed more by visitors and customers so it's vital to include as much information and any other details one might need when visiting your website. This will create a friendly relationship with the visitor already, they know about your services so this saves them researching it and possibly asking you if they need any help. If your classified ads do not contain vital information about your company then the user can quite easily be put off, thus making you lose a sale and a visitor.
