The Benefits Of Drinking Coffee

By Karyn Lewis

There seems to be a coffee shop on every corner these days, and with good intentions. They are in place to make sure the needs of those looking for a good cup of coffee are met. Some people decide they don't want to drink coffee though due to the fact that so many people hear negative information about it. They don't want to be jittery or consuming extra calories.

Yet you may not realize that coffee can offer some positive benefits for your as well. Some of the findings are still in the early stages of being proven. Others have been substantiated enough that you can be confident about what you are hearing. I for one am happy to hear about that because I enjoy my coffee. I also get tired of people telling me that it isn't good for me.

That makes coffee a perfect study partner for many reasons besides just keeping you awake. If you feel like you are reading material over and over again but not remembering what you read you may need to stop and have a cup of coffee. You will also be happy to learn that coffee is a great way to cleanse your body of different types of toxins. It is a well known antioxidant that can really improve the way you feel physically and mentally.

A great deal of research is still in the works when it comes to what coffee can offer your body in a positive way. It is believed that it can significantly reduce the risks a person has of ending up with heart disease. So many people have a genetic link to it as well as deal with weight and diet issues that heart disease should be something everyone is protecting themselves against.

The liver is another part of the body that you want to see stay in good condition. Coffee is a powerful antioxidant so the various toxins that build up in the liver can be removed. Drinking coffee will also reduce your chances of ending up with gall stones in the future as well. This is good news as you don't want your life interrupted by chronic health concerns.

Depression is a type of mental illness that many people suffer from. Yet many individuals will tell you that just by drinking coffee they find their mood improves. This often motivates them to take part in a variety of activities. Depression can prevent people from finding joy in those things they once enjoyed so this is quite a substantial accomplishment.

Driving is something most of us do daily, and may take for granted. We often get by on auto pilot and barely remember the trip. With a cup of coffee in your hand though you will remain more alert. This has to do with more than just being sleepy behind the wheel though. Being alert means you can be prepared for anything. Slow reaction times can result in serious accidents.

It is true that coffee offers some great health benefits. Now when all those critics start to tell me about the bad effects of coffee I have some ammunition. I can smile, drink my coffee, and tell them all the good things I am doing for my body just by drinking it. There is no way I am giving up my coffee so I am glad to hear it isn't as terrible for me as some people portray it to be!
